This Sunday Fit4Something will be carrying out Mini Heart Health Checks to help raise funds for a public access defibrillator at Baggeridge Country Park.
We will be located near the Challenge Academy High Ropes Adventure entrance on May 28th from 10am to 3pm, it is a £2 minimum donation, with all proceeds going to this vital piece of equipment.
If someone suffers a cardiac arrest, getting and using a defibrillator is an essential life-saving step in the chain of survival.
For someone with cardiovascular or coronary heart disease, or for anyone instructing activity on the park (like me), it is peace of mind knowing that there is a defibrillator available.
Come and see me to assess your own risk for heart disease while donating money to this potential life saver. This mini heart health check will include a heart rate and blood pressure reading, BMI calculation and simple body measurements. We will take your data and compare the figures against national normative data to help highlight any risks to your heart health.
This does not replace a full GP medical check but it could be the kickstart to a whole lifestyle change that improves your overall health and increases your life expectancy.
It is also a chance to meet with me and ask any questions about my services before we get going with the outdoor fitness classes June 4th. I will be handing out my initial class timetable and list of other fitness services too.
